Purpose:

We began this program in January 2021 as our Self Care Relief Baskets for BIPOC to provide assistance to BIPOC families facing hardships during the pandemic. Our goal was to minimize the stress in finding the time and finances for everyday self care essentials. With your donations and volunteering we helped deliver to so many families.

From April 2021 we expanded. With the help of our original donated space on 60 Island street in Lawrence, the Free Self-Care Store for BIPOC was born. Ever since, we have continued the work in assisting BIPOC families across the Merrimack Valley with self-care items in their times of struggle.

Today, our free store is now located at our 50 Beechwood drive office space in North Andover with a larger room to store even bigger donations.

Vision:

Merrimack Valley Black & Brown Voices has serviced over 200+ BIPOC families since 2020. With your help we can stock our shelves weekly with self-care nessecities and make this project an even greater success. Donations made to this store are in form of a small portion of reparations deserved for BIPOC after centuries of racism in the United States. BIPOC deserve nothing less than the best from charity, and keeping their dignities is one of our main priorities. We ask that all donation items be un-opened, un-used, and in fairly new conditions.

Your donation will purchase:

Body soap, Toothpaste, Tooth brushes, Shampoo & Conditioner, Body lotion, Deodorant, Hand Sanitizer, Protective Face masks, Feminine hygiene products, Hand soap, Disinfectant wipes, Baby wipes, Mouthwash & more!
